Sir/Madame, On Saturday January 12th my husband and I along with another couple decided to try Don Cherrys at the Beacon in Jordon Ontario prior to attending the Icewine festival. Upon entering the restaurant a we waited approx 5 minutes before taking matters into our own hands and finding a server to ask to be seated.
We were asked to wait at the bar, we did so happily but were ignored for another 10 minutes or so, and once again took matters into our own hands asked to place a drink order. Finally seated at a table...after approx 20 minutes we took matters into our own hands for a 3rd time, got menus, wrote our orders out on the paper from the table, and took our own order up to the bar server.
The food did arrive, by a server in training. She was very nice, and apologetic! I must say the 3 burgers and prime rib sandwich was very good!!
Finally we cancelled our last drink order (that never arrived) paid our bill(tipped the trainee)and visited the washroom prior to leaving. The ladies washroom floor was sticky with standing water on the floor.
I opted to send an email(my first ever to a company) and not complain to the server because, your front line worker was in training(by whom remains a question) and she was clearly over her head, but remained very polite and calm.
Your food was very good, the experience.....really really dissappointing!
