Asadal is a truly authentic Korean restaurant serving fantastic, comforting Korean soul food. I was pleasantly surprised by just how good everything tasted! We ordered the gamjatang, kimchi jjigae, and seollongtang, and every single dish was exceptionally delicious. I only wish we had a spot like this back home in the US—if we did, I’d probably end up eating here every day. On top of the food, the service was wonderful. The servers were so kind, welcoming, and friendly to my toddlers, which made the meal even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Asadal to anyone who loves or wants to try real, authentic Korean food!

The customer service was terrible at this place! They definitely treated Korean customers better than us, and we were racially treated poorly. Do not come here! Just order take out if you don't want to experience racism. Food is pretty bomb tho.

DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT IF YOU ARE NOT KOREAN. I was shocked by how different they were treating their Korean customers and did not pay any attention to my table and even though we ordered first, this Korean family that came in and ordered later than us got their food first. They didn’t even refill our water but only checked on their Korean customers. I will never go back to this restaurant. Very bad customer service.

Asadal offers authentic Korean dishes that satisfies the craving for home cooked dishes. Although small and unassuming, the food is flavorful and reasonably priced. We enjoyed the seafood pancake, the sweet and spicy chicken which was crispy and seasoned well and the cold noodle which was refreshing on a hot day. Their Jeyuk Deopbap is perfect as a one-pot meal and the fried dumplings are always a treat as a shareable plate. Bring your friends and experience delectable Korean food.

Hands down the best Korean restaurant in Calgary, small hidden gem. All the soups are better than anywhere I ate in Vancouver which is where I’m from. Owner lady is really nice as well.
