It was good. No complaints, but not really much to write home about. The food was tasty, the atmosphere was pleasant and the service was good. I’ve been twice now. It was fine both times.

The food was fantastic! Service was as well. Very informed and polite! Terrific lunch date! Much appreciated recommendation from my daughter in law !!! If I could post the pics of our lunch I would because it was that great, but my fault I’m a little unsavvy when it comes to that! lol

Our dining experience at Berkeley North was mixed. We came to Hamilton for the Bryan Adams concert and picked the place based on Google reviews. The food was good overall, but not exceptional. The chicken was well prepared, while the trout needed more seasoning and tasted quite plain. Without the sauce on top, it would have been almost tasteless. There were only two people serving, and they were also managing the bar preparing drinks for everyone. Once the restaurant became busy, no one returned to check on the food, and it took quite a while for our plates to be cleared . We noticed several nearby tables waiting unhappy just as long. I was also surprised to see when the waiter was told that there was a fly in a glass of water. He simply poured the water onto the patio floor behind and returned the same glass instead of replacing it. That was shocking, especially when you expected fine dining experience. Overall it was a decent experience, but the next time we are in Hamilton, we would probably try somewhere else.

A perfect spot for food and drink around downtown. Our server was so friendly, and the dining room opens right into the patio when the weather is nice. The food is really excellent.

The service was very warm and friendly and they are clearly passionate about the restaurant. The food was delicious, well cooked, the portions were very reasonable, and for a good price. Very cozy and warm atmosphere with good music and decor, and on a nice quiet street. Overall highly recommended.

We had such a wonderful experience hosting our wedding rehearsal dinner at Berkeley North for a group of 14! The team was incredibly easy to work with from start to finish and so accommodating throughout the planning process. The family-style setup and menu they helped us curate were perfect for our group and made the evening feel special. We loved the food, with the mushroom dumplings and crispy chicken being standout favourites at our table. The menu offered fantastic value for the experience. They were even able to accommodate a last-minute dietary restriction that came up once we had already arrived, which we really appreciated. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Fantastic food. And the menu keeps changing. Just had the roasted hen and the potatoes side dish alone was amazing. And the hen added more flavor.
