Reviews / Ratings for Bridgette Bar Toronto
Mushroom pizza👌
This place exceeds my expectations. The biggest surprise for me is how everything is very tastefully balanced. Nothing particularly salty or sour or sweet, nothing overpowers the fresh ingredient's original flavor, this requires exceptional control from the chef, which is quite rare for restaurant's at this price point. The hummus chips and beets salad are among the best appetizers I've had in a long time. Both the roasted chicken and duck are fantastic mains. The pasta and pizza are solid for the price, although not outstanding. Overall I've come here twice and ordered about 10 items on the menu with friends, nothing is a miss, everything ranges from pretty good to incredible. The space are also very spacious and well designed, and the service leaves nothing to be complained about. Will definitely come back again to try other things on the menu.
Came here during the matinee special from 3-6 pm and ordered 2 pizzas. Great pizza at a good value! Not sure about regular menu as we have not tried that yet.
Food was average to bad. Chicken undercooked with gross gravy. Beet salad was good.
Emma was an amazing server! Our experience at Bridgette was already 10/10 but her bubbly and enthusiastic spirit made it 100/10. The food was great. I’m especially enthralled by the cocktail menu, as someone who was a mixologist in a former life it’s apparent a lot of time and love goes into designing the drinks.
I’ve been to Bridgette Bar twice now, two years apart, and it still does not disappoint. Had 4 people so we ate family style. The burrata to start was delicious - salty, flavourful, and a great bite to start the meal. The cheese curd garlic bread was great but I expected more cheese, so if you’re not passionate I would skip. The Spices Beet salad was a sleeper hit, normally salad is my least favourite part of a meal but something about the way the whipped feta, pickly elements, and the sweet beats combined was a wicked flavourball. The strip steak was good but no different than one you’d find anywhere else, however the crispy potato that came with it was the wow factor. The farm chicken was excellent - full of flavour. From a pasta perspective, the ricotta dumplings were the best part of the meal. Creamy, fresh, and had a well sauced ratio. The rigatoni was just average. Lastly the dessert. The Banana Pie was INCREDIBLE. I typically don’t like banana flavoured things, but this was so well balanced with the caramel. Soft incredible texture. Great to split with a group to end the meal.
On July 31, I stopped by for a cocktail. The atmosphere, with its open windows on the top floor was a treat + perfect for summer. A table in front of me, that was occupied by a group of gentlemen, seemed to be more of an interest to my server, Justine, than any other table. I kept reading their cocktail menu for fifteen minutes until the bartender, Ben, noticed me all the way from the bar. He walked over + suggested recommendations, which I was gratefully humbled for him to do whilst occupied. As I narrowed-down my choices, Miguel, another server, came over to further my assistance, which I admired as he was very helpful + enthusiastic. I had ordered ‘Blurry Nights’. I found the cocktail to be fantastic, not too overpowering via bourbon but the after-taste of blueberry was sublime. Up until the last sip, Justine was still nowhere to be found but the group of gentlemen’s table. Again, Ben + Miguel provided exceptional customer service.
The inaugural brunch was immaculate! The lamb sausage served under an egg, with the sauce consisted of an array of flavours that were extremely delightful. The avocado toast consisted of an amalgamation of flavour in each bite, with everything nicely plated and potatoes with great consistency and a variety of shapes that which was an additional element of creativity. . Thank you to Chef Nathaniel for such an amazing meal (My palate is satisfied) and to our server Emma for her delightful service upon entry. I intend to revisit Bridgette’s Bar, as this first experience is one that will not be forgotten. Thank you. See you soon!
Great staff Warm atmosphere, with indoor and outdoor Excellent happy hour for both food and drinks Pizzas are actually very decent. WiFi signal strong
Incredible pizza, well crafted cocktails, flavorful pasta. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. The atmosphere was relaxing and the views from the top floor were beautiful. Will be back! They have an outdoor patio and inside they have an elevator for those with mobility issues.
Bridgette bar is a favourite of ours in Calgary and Canmore. Toronto was no exception. The grilled carrots and burrata are a staple. The oysters were served with shaved frozen pickle juice which was delicious. Our new favourite is the trout- it was exceptional.
Food was so good. Great service!!!
Pretty great experience, coming from the Jays game. We were quickly sat at the patio, which is what we wanted and the server was nice enough to explain to us the happy hour menu and the specials for the night. Knowing that we’re in Toronto, the mice running outside didn’t bother us as much as the other individuals, but it was noted that there was a few of them looking for food. The food here was delicious. We actually finished everything and the service was pretty awesome as well. I probably opt to sit inside and upstairs next time just so that my attention isn’t on the rodents running around.
Superb food and service. Recommend the ricotta dumplings and the heartbreak mountain cocktail as must tries!
Had the best time there ! The food was generous and tasty. The cocktails are to die for! Our server Emma was super fantastic and a sunshine ! We will be back for sure :)
Lovely food and amazing cocktails. The happy hour was fantastic value. Great atmosphere in the restaurant too. Loved our visit
Love this place. It’s very warm and the lighting is nice. The food was fantastic and so was the service! Good pricing as well!!
It's our second time here! 😄 We popped in on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and got to enjoy their awesome Happy Hour menu. We absolutely loved the two Pinot Grigios, a Margherita pizza, and the Beet Salad – it was just the right amount for the two of us! 😊 The service was amazing, and we didn't have to wait for a table out on the patio. 😊
I had the linguini with schrimp, the portion are small and the schrimp were mini frozen stuff, really for the price I paid, at least I expected something decent
Stopped here for lunch as the patio looked lovely and we were not disappointed!! We were served right away and always had water refills (which matters to me as I drink a lot of water ha ha!) We ordered a few drinks, I had a tasty gin cocktail that was recommended by our server. We ordered the olives and eggplant Fries to start and then did a few of the “lunch in a crunch” options. Which is $28 for an appie and a main. I had the beet salad and the truffle pasta and friends had the garlic bread and margarita pizza. Everything came out fresh and was very tasty! I loved the uniqueness of the eggplant fries! Warm olives are always great in my opinion! The beet salad had great flavor especially with the pistachios! The truffle pasta actually tasted like truffle! I find so many don’t actually have the flavour, this was wonderful! We also loved the inside - washrooms are on the top floor (yes there is an elevator) but we were able to see some cool ambience including a comfy couch area with a fire. Glad we tried this place! Would recommend especially with a good value for food, although cocktails are $17-18 so happy hour is reccomended!!
The chicken sausage and mushroom pasta were both delicious, and the mussels came in such a generous portion. But the carrot cake ice cream was easily the highlight of the night..10/10. Would come back just for that tbh. Thanks to our server for the recommendation
The rigatoni was incredible, but the service and ambience were even better. Tony was very kind and all the servers were very attentive. Would definitely recommend!
Our family really enjoyed this place! Great service & food- thank you!!
Culinary inspiration and impeccable execution result in a dessert that doesn’t just satisfy – it seduces. This Banana Cream Pie steals the spotlight for its layers of precision and indulgence. The bottom pretzel crust is deeply buttery with a satisfying crunch and subtle hint of salt. A thick, caramelized jam layer brings concentrated sweetness, followed by rustic, vanilla-kissed banana pudding with a firm, mashed texture. Light coffee cream adds depth without overwhelming, and the torched Italian meringue on top is decadence that melts into pure bliss, bringing a whisper of caramelized aroma, bolstered with a final caramel drizzle of temptation. Every bite is like a textural and flavour orchestra, making this dessert a highlight of any meal. Backtracking to the savory, gooey strips of eggplant fries, they are coated in a golden, crispy breadcrumb batter and lightly salted. The green harissa and yogurt dip adds a creamy, tangy contrast with a touch of heat, and leads directly into the roasted duck. The leg and breast are prepared in contrasting styles, the latter offering a flavourful skin with a sweet honey glaze and aromatic spices that remind me of Asia. However, the confit leg shines with perfectly crisp skin and fat that melts on the tongue, with rich, juicy meat underneath. It’s accompanied by tender turnips, lightly acidic shredded root veggies, and bitter greens, which are tied together with a savory duck jus and sweet black garlic sauce.
