I wish there was an option to have zero stars. We went to get a kids meal for our daughter through the drive thru. The price for the kids meal was $8.99. When they started to take our order, on the order screen was $9.99. When we asked about the price difference the guy said "we'll fix it later" Fine. When ask if we would like a soft drink, we said yes, then all of a sudden a $1.49 popped up for the drink... what kids meal doesnt come with a drink. A $10 meal?? When we questioned the price, the guy said, ohh well we will comp the drink, dont worry.... We said thank you, we're going somewhere else. This place has false pricing and hidden costs. Avoid.
The cashier said I couldn’t use my points. He was very rude. He left went to the drive-through then came back extremely rude. Not a very nice experience.
📢Go instead to the Dairy Queen on Yonge by Mulock! At that location, you will be treated like YOU matter and the food and customer service are tip top. Unfortunately that is not the case at this location. I have (regrettably🤦♀️) spent a lot of money here since their opening and I have been disappointed numerous times but no more! I would much rather drive across town. The word I would use to describe the customer service here is UNACCOMMODATING. You are not valued at all as the consumer, it is all about their bottom line. The manager?owner? is frequently rude. If you just order something small, you get a "what else?". If you have coupons, you're often met with a disgusted look or a glare. Don't dare ask for substitutions, not happening here folks 😅 Do yourself a favor and read some of the reviews from other patrons before spending your hard earned money here.
We had a very disappointing experience at this location. I visited with two coworkers, one of whom is pregnant. Before we ordered our ice cream, she ordered a poutine using a discount on her app. When we later went to order our ice cream, the employee, Ahmed, refused to let us use our individual discount codes, stating that because our coworker had already used two discounts, only one of us could use a discount and the other had to pay full price. We explained that we are three separate customers with our own apps and were paying separately. Importantly, Ahmed never told our coworker when she used her second discount that she supposedly could not use more than one, or that doing so would affect our separate purchases. He processed both discounts without saying anything and only raised this restriction afterward. Had he advised her beforehand, we could have made our purchases accordingly. Ahmed also repeatedly assumed we were family and used this to justify refusing our discounts, despite us clearly explaining that we are coworkers with separate accounts. His assumption appeared to be based on us sharing some of our coworker’s food. She was experiencing pregnancy-related discomfort and could not get up to collect her poutine, so we brought it to her from the counter and shared some with her. Regardless of whether customers are coworkers, friends, or family, it was inappropriate to make assumptions about our relationship and use them to determine whether we could use discounts on our individual accounts. The interaction made all three of us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. We will not be returning to this location, and I hope management reviews both how the discount policy was applied and the way we were treated.
Very unpleasant experience at this DQ location. When ordering, I specifically asked the guy (looks like store manager), “What is the smallest size for the ice cream?” He gave me a Small. I later realized that Mini is actually the smallest size. What made this even more frustrating is that there was a display right beside the counter showing all four available sizes. When I asked for the smallest size, the employee never pointed to the display or explained the different size options. He simply selected a Small for me. If he had shown me the display and explained that Mini was an option, I could have easily made my choice. When I pointed this out, instead of simply acknowledging the misunderstanding, he told me that what I said was “very confusing” because “small” and “smallest” are confusing, and told me that next time I should figure out what I want before ordering. That response really surprised me. The whole reason I asked what the smallest size was is because I didn’t know what sizes were available. If I already knew that Mini was the smallest, I obviously wouldn’t have needed to ask. Mistakes happen, and the size difference itself wasn’t a big deal. What made the experience so unpleasant was the employee’s attitude and the way he blamed the customer for asking a very straightforward question. Unfortunately, the entire interaction made us feel unwelcome. I would avoid this location and go to another DQ instead.
Ordered a chocolate brownie extreme and got vanilla icecream with tiny bits of chocolate. no brownie, no fudge nothing else. the entire bottom half ( mind you i got a 7$ mini so it’s very small) was straight vanilla icecream! the man refused to remake it or refund it because he “ couldn’t see the problem” even though it was very clearly made wrong. he was so rude demanding i show him the vanilla icecream and when i did he claimed he couldn’t see it. will not return
Very clean and nice. Parking lot is not very big and has a weird layout.
Barely any topping on my banana split. My one for the summer. It’s as though they ran out of toppings. Disappointed
Don't remember DQ being this pricey! $28 for a dipped cone, 2 small sundaes!
This Dairy Queen deserves NEGATIVE 5 stars. I don’t even know where to start. First of all, the manager is AWFUL. Just incredibly rude. He was speaking to the staff and customers like they were all beneath him. Second of all, the portions were tiny and overpriced. Third, the whole establishment was sticky- the floors, the tables, etc. and smelt horrible. I was so disgusted and put off by all these things, I didn’t even bother eating my food. It seems like they just let anyone become an independent owner. Every part of my experience was bad. I would never come here ever again, nor would I bring my family/children here.
It was all right, the thing I'll never understand is I ordered a large fries. And they still had to park me and I had to wait from my large fries in a parking spot instead of just getting it at the window where I ordered my small blizzard. The price for the fries and the small blizzard was slightly under $14, if you ask me that is unacceptable. Will not return because of the price gouging
This was a excellent Dairy Queen 3 years ago. The price of a large sundaes went from $6.00 to $9.00 each. in 2 years. One is better off buying a tub of ice cream. Disappointing, won't be visiting this location again.
Amazing food and amazing blizzards the only bad thing is the prices Im pretty sure that it was $8 for fries 😢
Great customer service, quick and efficient, had a wonderful experience!
Horrible experience. Came with my 3 kids to get ice cream, only to have an extremely rude interaction with the person at the drive-through. Totally ruined our day out. If this location cares about staying open, I would recommend they take this criticism to heart. The person working there recommended that we go to another location if we’re not happy with their service, which we gladly will, and we recommend other people do the same. P.S. The ice cream is very anorexic for what you pay, not representative of any other location or the images they advertise.
I had a disappointing experience at this Dairy Queen when I visited with my child. The biggest issue was that there were no napkins available for customers to take themselves. Every time we needed a napkin, we had to ask a staff member for one. I’ve never understood why a fast-food restaurant would make something as basic as napkins unavailable to customers. I also asked for an empty cup for my child, which I thought was a very simple and reasonable request. At first, the owner refused and told me that I would have to pay for the cup. As a result, I had to wait until my child finished eating before I could eat my own food. Eventually, he reluctantly gave me a cup for free. It’s not really about the cost of a cup. It’s about the attitude and the overall customer experience. For a family-friendly fast-food restaurant, I would expect basic items like napkins to be easily accessible and a little more willingness to accommodate a simple request, especially when a customer is there with a child. I hope the management can take this feedback seriously and improve the customer experience.
I ordered a chicken wrap and the wrap was basically all wrap and no chicken. The chicken strip they gave was as thin as a pencil. I called to explain this is not typical chicken strip size as I used to manage a dairy queen and if the chicken strip was thin we would put two in to compensate it being small. The man on the phone told me there was nothing he could do for me. 0/10 customer service and no resolution.
Great food and solid service
Very clean place, friendly staff. I always go to this location and never had any issues
There was a young girl working at the counter, and she was very sweet and friendly. She helped us pick out a treatzza for my sister’s birthday. As we were leaving, she told us to wish my sister a happy birthday from her. The store is pretty small, and there isn’t a lot of parking. I ordered a mint Oreo blizzard, and it was consistent with the other ones I’ve tried (it’s my usual order). There is an ice cream cone height chart on the wall, so you can stand beside it and see how many ice creams tall you are. That’s a fun feature.
The cashier guy is extremely unprofessional and has no idea to how to operate. Very disappointing service.
The young lady at the drive thru is always so friendly and kind!! The owner is always nice too. He always asks how the family is and tells me to have a great day. My only qualm is that I always have to ask for napkins when receiving my order. I don’t think they like giving them out. lol
It had been a long time since my last visit to Dairy Queen, but with the recent heatwave and being in the area, we were looking for something refreshing to cool down. This location is in a plaza with free parking. The lot isn't huge, but there was plenty of space when we visited. It shares the plaza with a Starbucks and a wood-fired pizza restaurant. The exterior is quite eye-catching, featuring a giant version of their iconic Blizzard spoon, and even the door handle is designed to look like one! We stopped by around 2:30 p.m. and were the only customers there at the time. As soon as we walked in, an employee came out from the back to greet and serve us. She was incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful in answering our questions about the menu. We ended up ordering a Mini Confetti Blizzard, a Medium Cinnamon Churro Dipped Cone, and a Medium Pineapple Lemonade DQ Sparkler (without Tajín). The Mini Confetti Blizzard was delicious, with generous chunks of cake throughout, and the mini size was perfect for one person. The Cinnamon Churro Dipped Cone had a white chocolate coating, making it quite sweet, but the cinnamon sugar topping on that first bite was absolutely the highlight. It was also the perfect size to share between two people. My favourite, however, was the Pineapple Lemonade DQ Sparkler. It was incredibly refreshing in the heat, and we enjoyed it so much that we wished we had ordered larger size. I wouldn't have minded a little more pineapple flavour, but the lemonade itself was well-balanced and not overly tart. I was pleasantly surprised when the employee brought our order to our table, which was a thoughtful touch and not something I expected at a Dairy Queen (I've never had this in the past). The restaurant was clean, the service was warm and welcoming, and everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would happily recommend this location if you're looking for a sweet treat on a hot day.
Dropped by on a saturday looking for some food. I came in and could already this place was filthy. It looked like it had mopped or cleaned before. Despite the disgusting environment, I still decided to give this place a shot. I ordered the four piece tender combo. The worker who took my families order gave off a putrid attitude. He spoke with unclearness and was clearly bothered by my race. (I am Chinese) I know this because before me, was a indian couple, the worker took their order with enthusiasm. The worker then proceeded to point at one of my kids and speak a foreign language that I didn't understand. He then started laughing with his employers all this while pointing at my six year old daughter, teresea. When I was recieving my food, I spotted some of the employees eating my fries. It didn't bother that much but when I actually recieved my food, I found a hair on my chicken tenders which clearly didn't belong to me. (I have very short wavy hair.) This place is absolutely unacceptable and doesn't deserve to be in business. They have no respect for family and my kind. I hope all of you take this into consideration before entering this corrupt facility.
