First off, this place has great service! Everyone is really friendly. They have a lot of interesting Japanese products that I’ve never seen before. The musubi is my fave onigiri but you can’t go wrong with anything you try. Also the side dishes are so fun!
Reviews / Ratings for Onigiri Co.
Love this spot for lunch - the onigiris are unmatched in Toronto and you can quickly get in and out. The crunch on the first bite of the cold onigiri is so satisfying. My favorite is the spicy tuna mayo.
In the underground good area. So you have to go down the escalators to find it. But once found it was very very good! There is a food court nearby to eat at with plenty of seating, would recommend
The onigiri here is fire. I would come again!!
so good
Delicious onigiri and wonderful service! We ordered a couple sets, which came with two warm onigiri that were packed with filling, a side and miso soup. The shop itself was cozy and warm, and the staff were so nice as well! 10/10 recommend to everyone ☺️
I’m really glad I gave Onigiri Co. a try. The staff were amazing—friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. The location is convenient, the prices are very reasonable, and the trio onigiri set is a great value. I’m very satisfied overall and would happily return, especially because of the excellent customer service.
Best Onigiri in town. Took me back to Japan. Perfect rice and filling ratio. Thay are super fresh and taste divine❤️ Also have the chocolate covered almonds, yumm!
I accidentally stumbled upon Onigiri co. when I was looking for the exit. I ordered the bonito cream cheese & soy butter scallop onigiri. I could see why the soy butter scallop sells out so quickly. It had intense umami that made it so addictive. I also bought some Hokkaido milk and Iyoshi cola which are difficult to find in Canada. I wish they had anko and Hokkaido butter for making ogura toast. That would taste amazing with Hokkaido milk.
Wonderful Onigiri. Delicious! Service was excellent too. Tim was professional, personable & informative. They have a great BEEF special (please see photo) though I was too late to order as it was EOD. Will definitely be back & try it again soon. Highly recommend 💯
Warm onigiri is a must and cold ones are great too. Super friendly team. Would recommend.
Great take out place. Loooved the shrimp mayo onigiri!
Just like the conbini onigiri I used to love in Japan, it’s so wonderful to have this available here. Perfect lunch and perfect for the train ride home.
The scallop are a little bit tough and salty. Tuna Mayo is ok. I like ebimayo the most because the sauce and meat is matched, shrimps are tender.
My top favorite place to eat in Toronto! The traditional Japanese onigiris are memorably delicious. The new gyudon beef is savory with a good balance of flavors. Be warned this place is closed on Saturday and Sunday so stock up on Friday if you’re visiting!
Got a warm handmade spicy tuna mayo onigiri. The rice texture was perfect, soft, sticky, and chewy in the best way. The filling was super tasty and generous. The rice-to-filling ratio was really well balanced, so it wasn’t too salty or too bland. The size also feels very girl-friendly. I get super full after two, but one is the perfect lunch size if you don’t want a carb crash in the afternoon. The owner is super nice and friendly. Really happy we got such an authentic Japanese onigiri spot in the PATH
Tim is super nice! The service was amazing and food was yummy. Atmosphere was cozy Would come here again :)
Excellent! Honestly, the only place where I've had onigiri this good was in France. The staff is kind, welcoming, and genuinely warm. The ingredients are high quality, and the flavors are outstanding. This is already my fifth time ordering from them. I usually get delivery, but this time I wanted to visit in person just to tell them how amazing they are. The fact that the onigiri are made fresh to order and served warm is the icing on the cake. You can really tell that care goes into every order. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves onigiri. I'll definitely be coming back!
Ordered tuna and crab ones, they were good
I tried the trio and got the Bonito Cheese, Niku Miso, and Mayo Crab. Maybe I picked the wrong ones but I did not enjoy them at all. The Niku Miso was very sweet. I was expecting it to be more savoury but it was the opposite. It seems the Crab Mayo had wasabi in it. This was disappointing as someone who does not like wasabi/horseradish. The menu did not mention this either otherwise I would’ve chose something else. The Bonito cream cheese was just okay. I wanted the seaweed crunchy so I ordered it separately which was nice. The seaweed came in a separate packing and you had to assemble it together. But when I tried to assemble it and eat it, the rice and filling came apart quite easily and it was very messy to eat. But this may be a user error on my part. The service was really nice but unfortunately I do not think I will try them again
Ordered the ebi mayo (shrimp mayo) and found it a bit too salty for my taste. The prices are a little on the pricey side, but I guess that’s pretty typical for food in the PATH. I also tried the freshly made hotate (scallop) one, and it was excellent. It’s served warm, made fresh to order, and surprisingly costs the same as the regular ones, which was a nice surprise. Just keep in mind that because it’s served hot, the seaweed gets soft and soggy pretty quickly, so it’s best enjoyed right away. Their desserts are also quite good — they’re not too sweet.
The best Onigiri, you can tell they use prime ingredients. staff is very helpful and you can order warm made to order onigiris, will definitely recommend
Stopped by for a mentaiko onigiri and was really impressed. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the quality was excellent. The onigiri tasted fresh, well-made, and had a generous filling with great flavor. You can tell care goes into both the food and service. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a quick, satisfying bite. Will be back to try more flavors.
Really good and service was excellent! Coworker was unsure whether she’d like the vegetarian option and so he allowed us to try it!
Super clean storefront, is subtle and at the same time completely stands out from other shops in the Path. The food is excellent, cold or hot onigiri and a good variety of sides. I can’t speak on all of them, but the potato salad and miso soup are incredible. I’m hooked on the spicy tuna mayo and Niku Miso onigiri, beef is tender and flavourful while the tuna has a great kick without being overly spicy. Fully recommended hot if you have the time but it’s nice to have the option for cold if you’re in a rush. It’s clear the owner cares about the business, very friendly and gave some great recommendations my first visit. If you’re lost at all on what to order the staff is extremely attentive and knowledgeable of what they serve and what you’d be looking for. Highly recommended!
